What you get

Four ready-to-connect PNG maps.

  • Four byte-identical 652 x 634, 8-bit RGB PNG maps: diffuse/color, normal, bump, and depth/height.
  • A concise README with specifications, conservative compatibility language, and basic use guidance.
  • The devenjames Asset License v1.0 and SHA-256 checksums for every other package member.

Before you start

Use any material system that accepts these maps.

Designed for broad compatibility with PBR material systems that support the included PNG diffuse, normal, bump, and depth/height maps. These standard image maps are not tied to a particular renderer or 3D application, but setup may vary. No application or renderer version has been tested. Normal-map orientation is not claimed; users may need to flip the green/Y channel.

  • PNG-capable PBR material systemNo application or renderer version tested

The package contains no third-party components. Users provide their own compatible material system; no renderer or 3D application is included or endorsed.

Connect the maps

A simple material setup.

  1. Download and extract the Version 1.0 ZIP.
  2. Connect rope_diff.png to base color or diffuse and rope_normal.png through the material system's normal-map input.
  3. Use rope_bump.png for bump detail and rope_depth3.png for height or displacement only after tuning strength for the scene.
  4. If normal detail appears inverted, flip the normal map's green/Y channel, then verify the material on a test surface.
